Invest time. Refine outcomes. Systemize result.

Everyday we spend more time on phone than anything else. Would it not be better if we spend the time on more productive manner and the applications involved actually helps towards that? As per “Take back control of your time” RescueTime analysis -

So, exactly how much time does the average person spend on their phone?

The top 20% of smartphone users worldwide use their phones for more than 4.5 hours daily.

Hence, it’s imperative to be productive around this. I have been into productivity bandwagon for last 2 years, and here are my top5 productivity apps at the start of 2021.

Note I use android phone in general. My personal laptop is mac and work related one is windows. So I am a “bit biased” towards apps which works in all.

#1 : Todoist ( https://todoist.com/ )

Why/How I find it useful ?

✔️Anything can be jotted down anytime. It works like a brain dump reminder for me. It has work , personal and family projects for me to divide the workgroups.

✔️ Works seamlessly in android mobile, Windows, iOS and Mac.

✔️ The new KANBAN board which they have now, ever improving…

And ! Yes, “meal-planner is a project” in progress…

#2 : Medium (https://medium.com/)

#4 : Blinkist ( https://www.blinkist.com/ )

Category — Book summary reading/audio

Why/How I find it useful ?

✔️Time. Time. Time. I was out of book reading habit for a long period time and this app helped to rekindle that interest again. Short byte of book summary in a clear way.

✔️Yes, it works in all platforms.

#5 : Notion ( https://notion.so/ )

Category — Management (knowledge, project, and note taking app)

Why/How I find it useful ?

✔️ Having used Evernotes, OneNote, etc, I can safely say that Notion is the best in this space.

✔️Learning curve is a bit high, and you need to invest time to learn the app a bit, but once you learn, you will love in it. The option this app has is huge and I am not going to go through this at all here. You need to just browse the app/site.

✔️Free (for most of the personal needs)

✔️The app interface is very good, and they allow 10 books at any given time.

Below are the books I am reading /listening currently -

Conclusion

As James Clear outlined — “There are 3 primary drivers of results in life:

  1. Your luck (randomness).
  2. Your strategy (choices).
  3. Your actions (habits).

Only 2 of the 3 are under your control. But if you master those 2, you can improve the odds that luck will work for you rather than against you.”

These productivity apps helps towards success of number 3) everyday.

Go and explore !
